IVF Counselling and Trauma Support

A failed pregnancy and the inability to conceive often lead to grieving. The focal point in my reproductive counselling practice is assisting women and couples who experience trauma because of a miscarriage, need support to make decisions about, or are undergoing In Vitro Fertilisation. I am Suzanne Hurley, and I assist those enduring fertility related distress that includes IVF counselling.

  • I provide guidance and support during individual and couple counselling sessions regarding matters associated with life challenges such as reproduction, contemplating pregnancy, unintended pregnancy, expecting a baby, living with a baby, and the end of your reproductive cycle.

  • I also facilitate the Circle of Security relationship-based early intervention program to enhance attachment security for parents and infants dealing with connection difficulties and caregivers who wish to ensure they meet their children’s closeness needs. I can help you relate with your child and build a strong, lifelong bond.

  • Why not book a session if you experience health issues affecting fertility or wish to prepare for IVF therapy by exploring options or procuring support? So too, if you face a change in your situation during pregnancy, need to prepare for birth, or must cope with termination for psycho-social or medical reasons.

  • Let me assist if you fear the pregnancy, birth, and parenting process - possibly due to a previous perinatal experience - or are in a challenging relationship that leaves you feeling unsafe or overburdened by power and control issues.
